Is it Really... A Happy New Year?

Let’s be honest!

HAPPY wishes alone, are not enough to make and keep us happy.

So here are some tips to help you to have a

“Happy New Year”

STOP and Think! - Brain storm for 5 minutes what happiness is to you – then make a list of ALL the things that make you happy - Now you’re thinking happy thoughts, you’re bound to feel happier.

Set yourself 1 SMART goal - that the thought of ACHIEVING IT! excites you.

JUST DO IT - Make a plan for attaining this goal - As true self happiness is the steady progression towards a worthy goal, your mood is likely to increase as you embark on achieving your goal.

Spend more time with other happy people, who are encouraging and supportive - Their emotional state will be infectious!

Stay Positive - When something does not go as planned and you suffer a set-back – Focus on finding a solution to the problem instead of wallowing in self-pity. Focusing on the possibilities and on the positives will lead you to continued happiness.

Do something nice for yourself – take part in activities you enjoy, try an exercise class like AboveBoxing, LesMills, Insanity or BodyPump in these sessions you will release endorphins, that give you a feeling of happiness.

Maintain your health, Eat delicious nutritious foods and avoid eating excessive junk food, as being overweight can have a negative effect on your mood.

Lastly remember the old adage: Money can't buy happiness…

Holds some truth, after all…

  • Money can buy you amusements, but not happiness.

  • Money can buy you a house, but not a home.

  • Money can buy a bed, but not sleep.

  • Money can buy Medicine, but not health.

  • Money can buy a clock, but not time.

  • Money can buy a book, but not knowledge.

  • and Money can buy you acquaintances but not true friends!

Remember No One Is In Charge of Your Happiness Except You!

If you found this useful – please share the happiness :)
